Title:VP, Marketing Operations


Strategic Property Partners, LLC ("SPP") is the partnership between Cascade Investment LLC, and Jeff Vinik. SPP is a full-service commercial real estate development firm focused on world-class execution, innovation, and creating high quality and experiential places. SPP's first project, Water Street Tampa, is being developed on over 50 acres of land the company controls in downtown Tampa along the waterfront. The phased Water Street Tampa development project is revitalizing the currently underutilized tract of land to create an urban, mixed-use waterfront district consisting of approximately 9 million square feet of new commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, entertainment, education, and retail uses, totaling over $3 billion in private investment from SPP. Integrating principles of walkability, sustainability, connectivity, design quality, and wellness, SPP will create, own and operate this new world-class neighborhood in Tampa, while also elevating the city's national prominence.



The Vice President, Marketing Operations will work closely with the SVP, Marketing as well as the larger marketing team, to manage the workflow within the marketing department to help achieve the department’s goals. This position is responsible for budgeting, delivering key insights and recommendations that track and optimize the performance of the department, and organizing marketing programs/campaigns in relation to the Water Street Tampa brand and affiliate brands.



  • Lead, motivate and coach direct reports on the Marketing team
  • Oversee, guide and evaluate the daily work flow and work product of the functions essential to the Marketing department and to the Water Street Tampa brand
  • Sustain and enhance the necessary processes, infrastructure, and tools to support the development, distribution, and tracking of marketing activities
  • Maximize productivity and efficiency, including asset management, workflow, and inter-departmental communications
  • Delegate tasks within the department as appropriate
  • Support internal and external communication strategies/plans related to department growth and success
  • Coordinate budget strategy and maintain budget management and reconciliation process
  • Collaborate with Marketing leadership to achieve alignment with corporate strategy
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a multi-year roadmap and strategy that ensures a best-in-class marketing of the Water Street Tampa brand and affiliate brands
  • Ensure the planning, development, execution, tracking, and reporting of marketing activities within defined timelines and approved budgetary guidelines
  • Work with key partners and vendors in workflow management, execution and delivery of key marketing objectives



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education/experience and/or training
  • 7 or more years of marketing experience
  • Strong leadership and highly effective coaching skill
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to cultivate relationships across divisions/functions
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail in execution
  • Proven ability to manage, monitor, allocate, and align resources to maximize marketing efficiencies with established budget and guidelines
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into actionable marketing goals and measurements
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines and objectives
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of project management systems, including ASANA, SLACK, MS Project and others
