Title:Intern, Marketing and Communications


Strategic Property Partners, LLC ("SPP") is the partnership between Cascade Investment LLC, and Jeff Vinik. SPP is a full-service commercial real estate development firm focused on world-class execution, innovation, and creating high quality and experiential places. SPP's first project, Water Street Tampa, is being developed on over 50 acres of land the company controls in downtown Tampa along the waterfront. The phased Water Street Tampa development project is revitalizing the currently underutilized tract of land to create an urban, mixed-use waterfront district consisting of approximately 9 million square feet of new commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, entertainment, education, and retail uses, totaling over $3 billion in private investment from SPP. Integrating principles of walkability, sustainability, connectivity, design quality, and wellness, SPP will create, own and operate this new world-class neighborhood in Tampa, while also elevating the city's national prominence.



The Intern, Marketing and Communications will work closely with the Coordinator, Marketing and Communications as well as the larger marketing team and will assist with the organization’s media updates and other relevant communications. This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic, forward-thinking team in a fast-moving development environment.




  • Research for and assist in completion of the daily media update, a communications report sent to key stakeholders based on industry trends
    • Research and read articles based on trends, national, state, and local current events and aggregate into a report
  • Work with internal team and partner agencies to develop and accumulate information to be shared via social media
  • Assist in integration of project management platform – data transfer in Excel and project management platform
  • Order Water Street Tampa marketing collateral, coordinate with printing and other external vendors as needed
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and write meeting minutes
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned




  • Nearing completion (or recent completion) of Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications, with a focus on journalism or public relations preferred
  • Up to 1 year of experience with similar tasks as described above
  • A passion for reading and research, particularly as it relates to cities and urban planning/development
  • Strong written communication skills with great attention to detail
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Asana a plus
  • Ability to work at least 30 hours per week
